The Conveyancing Level 6 Apprenticeships Diploma will be studied for, whilst working full time within the conveyancing department.  The Apprenticeship is delivered by the Conveyancing Academy remotely with 20% on the job training, email support and contact provided to support the learner needs whilst working with experienced conveyancing fee earners and support staff.

The Apprenticeship will be delivered over 12-18 months to ensure a range of property transactions are completed during the learning process.  Modules are assessed by a 2 hour exam via the online learning platform with a final end point assessment of a 2 hour online scenario based test and a professional discussion on the completed work based portfolio.

On completion of the apprenticeship, an application for the CLC first practice licence can be made after completing the following modules:-

Managing Office & Client Accounts

As a Conveyancing Technician you will assist the Conveyancing Fee Earner with all property and Re-mortgage transactions from start to finish on a file.

This role involves but is not limited to: –

  • Undertaking conflict & ID checks for client
  • Checking incoming documentation
  • Setting up file for the transactions
  • Logging incoming post
  • Updating and utilising case management system during the property transaction
  • Ensuring file checklists are up to date and followed correctly
  • Updating referral portals
  • Being organised, hardworking, motivated and enthusiastic, ability to work with pressure and have good attention to detail
  • Carrying out all required administration duties on a property transaction
  • Ensuring SLAs and compliance adhered to
  • Undertaking accreditation and internal training within specific timeframes when required
  • Using internal and external systems where appropriate and necessary to complete tasks


  • Minimum entry level requirements:- LLB Degree
  • Grade C GCSE Maths & English
  • Residential conveyancing/legal experience/law degree
  • Ability to work under pressure & too tight deadlines
  • Ability to work independently & within a team
  • Excellent attention to detail
